Karin's journey into medical engineering is deeply personal. Both her parents became disabled, which fueled her passion for improving healthcare systems. From an early age, Karin experienced the dual roles of patient and caregiver, giving her a unique perspective on the challenges within healthcare.
With a B.Sc. in Medical Engineering from Afeka College of Engineering, specializing in Medical Information Systems, Karin has been driven by a desire to alleviate the struggles she saw at home. Patiently is an intuitive platform revolutionizing patient care management. Awarded at the IT Excellence Day Conference, exemplifies her commitment to enhancing healthcare outcomes.

Prof. Shaye Kivity is the head of the Rheumatology Unit and the Research Institute at Meir Medical Center. Prof. Kivity is recognized for his extensive research and clinical expertise in rheumatology, contributing significantly to the medical community's understanding and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
Dr. Shalom Mendel is a software engineer, an expert in the integration of artificial intelligence in the analysis of medical information. He was a member of the scientific committee of the European Dialysis and Transplantation Association (EDTA) and played a pivotal role in the computerization of 3,000 dialysis centers across Europe. Dr. Mendel is also a lecturer and consultant for software engineering and AI integration in medical systems.
Dr. Nadav Sheffer holds degrees in electrical and electronics engineering, bio-medical engineering, and law. He is currently a senior lecturer at the School of Medical Engineering at Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering and heads the Afeka Consulting Center for the Medical Engineering Industry. Dr. Sheffer teaches at Ariel University and Tel Aviv University, contributing to the development of medical devices and drug development programs. He has been a member and chairperson of several committees in the Standards Institution of Israel and the Israeli national Helsinki Committee for medical devices for over twenty-five years.
Dr. Ansgar Niehoff is the Strategic Technology & Investment Manager at the German family-owned Specialist for special steel solutions, the Schmidt + Clemens Group. There he oversees the establishment of strategic collaborations with tech startups in the field of Smart Manufacturing, Robotics and Clean Tech. Also he leads the Startup Investment activities of the Group reporting directly to the CEO. Before joining the Schmidt + Clemens Group he served as Head of Innovation & Tech Venturing within the Venture Builder of the family-owned REHAU Group, one of the world's largest polymer manufacturer. Before that he was the Head of REHAU New Ventures’ Technology Innovation Lab and his team was involved in the smartification of premium products in the Automotive, Building solutions and Industrial solutions sectors - specifically, the pre-development and series development of innovative products in future areas such as smart & autonomous mobility, smart home and Medtech. Strategic cooperations with startups from Europe as well as with Israeli startups has played a major role in this for 10 years. Ansgar Niehoff holds a doctorate in Chemistry and is an expert in Business Model Innovation (BMI Lab St. Gallen). On a voluntary basis, he is involved in strengthening German-Israeli relations by building bridges between German and Israeli businesses and startups. He served as a pro bono mentor at two renowned US startup programs (Plug & Play Tech Center from Silicon Valley and MIT Solve from Cambridge) and is a pro bono mentor at the Israeli Climate Tech Accelerator Program “Climate First”.
